After a horror start to the July Incoming Series, there has been some serious humbling of the Bok squad and its supporters. Wales looked like they were going to win the opening test for all but maybe 5 of the 80 minutes played and the Boks can feel very lucky that they head into this weekends game in Bloemfontein with 1 win behind them.
The horror show dished up at Loftus on the weekend made it obvious that changes would be necessitated for this weekend. Elton Jantjies was always going to fall back down the pecking order behind Handre Pollard, even before his terrible performance and there are a number of players who were chomping at the bit to get a crack at the Welsh. Nick Mallet summed it up perfectly when he said the first 40 minutes were the worst the Boks had played since the Allister Coetzee era.
Jacques Nienaber has revealed his hand for test 2 and I sincerely hope this side has shaken off the rust that it displayed at Loftus, so that we can get a comprehensive win in Bloemfontein on Saturday. Ronnie and I will be travelling down to the Free State for the fixture and we are firmly backing the boys to get the job done, so here it is, your Springbok side for test 2:
Thomas Du Toit
Joseph Dweba
Trevor Nyakane
Eben Etzebeth
Marvin Orie
Marcell Coetzee
Pieter-Steph Du Toit
Evan Roos
Jaden Hendrikse

14 changes to the run-on team and proportionally just as many among the reserves - I fear the worst!
